I’m a public affairs professional with more than 20 years of experience in government, politics, and community engagement. I’ve had the opportunity to work on a range of campaigns and in public service roles, including supporting two Members of Congress, contributing to gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races, and leading communications and community engagement for a municipal government. Across all of that work, one thing has remained constant: I believe in bringing people together to solve problems and making government work better for the people it serves.
My passion for public service comes from my own story. I was born to two teenage parents and raised in a working-class household. My mom worked long hours and took on whatever jobs she could find to buy a home and send me to college. When the 2008 crash hit, she lost that home but she never stopped showing up for me and my sisters. Watching her resilience shaped everything about the way I see service, responsibility, and community. It’s the reason I’ve spent my career trying to give back.
Here in Beverly, I’ve continued that work by serving on the board of Beverly Community Access Television and as Chair of the Beverly Democratic City Committee. Through both, I’ve focused on building civic engagement, uplifting local voices, and making sure more people feel connected to what’s happening in our city. I care deeply about this community and the people who call it home.
I’m running for City Council At Large because I want to continue that service even more. I believe in a city government that is transparent and accountable. I believe we have a responsibility to make Beverly more resilient in the face of climate change by protecting our homes, our coastline, and our open spaces. And I believe Beverly must remain a city where people can afford to stay, raise their families, and grow old with dignity.
My wife Madhvi and I live downtown with our dog George, a spirited Jack-Chi who is really in charge. We love this city, and I would be honored to serve it on the Beverly City Council.
